OH. Question....

I trimmed the strawberry plants of all unharnessed runners and removed all rubbish floiage. With the recent wet weather and ever so slightly warmer temperature they've shot up and are looking really leggy.....should i crop them....would this encourage a more bushy growth or is it a little too late to do that?

Personally I'd leave well alone at the moment. as you say you've recently trimmed them and are now just getting going, a second shock, cutting them back, might be too much.

My strawbs are certainly not as bushy as usual, but are beginning to flower. For  this season I'll just let them go, but feed well and hope.....
