Narcissus Cotinga.

We bought a pot of two Narcissus Cotinga from a lovely little indoor farmers market in Ledbury on Friday. I'd never seen anything like them before.

I didn't realise that there were so many varieties of daffodils and naricissus around.

Its way too late in life for me to become an expert in anything now but I wouldn't mind getting a few different daffs around the place. Here's the first website that I found.

These are our two this morning.

Then there's this bunch of an unknown variety which we picked yesterday. They've been growing happily under one of our hedges for at least  the last 28 years since we moved to live here.

Lovely

We have an abundance of daffs and narcissi that we inherited with this place, all blooming at slightly different times, which is nice.

No tulips though - and none this year because some numpty forgot to actually plant the bulbs

I've never been that keen on tulips Mo. Snowdrops are my favourite and there are umpteen different sort of those too, followed closely by daffs.

I love the ones of "unknown variety".

Very nice

There were hundreds of the bog standard yellow ones already planted when we moved in and they're going strong and almost seem to be multiplying. I was told that daffs get smaller as time goes on but these have shown no sign of diminishing.

I like what I call 'proper' tulips = they have to be red

And now I've got Max Bygreaves - but also, weirdly, Tiny Tim - in my head!
