Morlan - educate me here a little......

Is there a real market for Pagan/witchy stuff?  The reason I ask is a possible diversification route.....
Any specific herbs that we could grow here?  Or metalwork that OH could make (sacrificial knives etc)?

We are already exploring (jokingly) the S&M hancuff/chain market....NOT THAT WE KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT!!!!!
bodger

Check E-Bay out Lozzer, you'll be absolutely amazed.
Lorrainelovesplants

Actually, there is a crystal shop in wadebridge and a witchy type shop in Mevagissy...........
Fascinating to wander round (even for the complete Know nothing).
We just thought that there may be a market in this line of stuff.....

not that it would be overly commercial...just a small sideline.

Every little sideline adds to the overall profit........

metalwork mirrors done in gothic style are always very popular, gothic hanging brackets, in fact anything gothicy for outdoors is a good bet.
i grow herbs for spells etc, and they go quite well, also what they call herbal highs.....natural and legal.....  wormwood is a common one.

culinary herbs go down well too, especially borage, all the mints, thyme etc etc.

why not get hubby oe yourself to make up a few gothic mirrors and take them to one of the new age shops, they might either buy them from you, or sell on commission...or do up a portfolio of what you can do, the weirder the better.... ..this is what i did with the canalware, and several shops on the canal now take my stuff.

go for it..........you will be pleasantly suprised.....

We used to do quite well selling black dinner candles .

Lorraine,

I have a pagan bookcase of over 100 books including several on herbs for magick and incense, happy to PM a list of the most popular and useful one's to you if your interested. I have made tons of incense for personal ritual as well as to sell at fairs etc.

I am not suprised to discover just how many pagans there are on OTG
Lorrainelovesplants

Whata fascinating insight into OTG members lives!  I honestly didnt know there wer so many people into all this....'stuff'.  I feel quite out ofmy depth talking so so many people with....interesting.....er...hobbies.

Seriously, Im keen to learn more (in a professional way) and if I can grow some ...natural and LEGAL herbs...for profit then of courseIm interested.
If we look at Wormwood then (which I think is the plant they used tomake Absinthe from ), what do people do with it, what kind of size of bag (Im presuming its dry) and what kind ofprice....

Very interesting thread.........

OH is rolling his eyes and saying we'll be clappedin jail
