My first pepper of the season.

We picked the first sweet pepper of the season yesterday. When I bought the plants, I fancied something a bit different so I got some of these purple peppers. They look a bit strange  but I should be able to tell you how they taste at around teatime today.

makes sense the variety being called Tequila....

Tequila meaning "Place of Tribute" and the drink itself being produced only from "The Blue Agave Plant"...

Over the weekend that's just gone, we were able to go to our unheated poly tunnel and pick the last of the sweet peppers and to also come away with a good bowl full of cherry tomatoes.
Up until this last few days we still hadn't had a frost here in our part of the Lleyn Peninsula. Even so, after allowing for our usually mild climate in our bit of Wales, I find it unbelievable that we should still be getting produce like this in January.

My Chilli plants are still flowering and fruiting - they are actually starting to go a bit mad now
