Mussels harvesting

Never tried it before but gonna pop along to the coast for a spot of mussel collecting.
I live in Fife so was thinking of heading out to anstruther/crail/kingsbarns/st andrews direction and having a look around for a suitable spot.

Anyone on here got ant tips

Be careful and discard those that don't close tightly when tapped with a knife, and don't eat any that don't open when cooked.

Always a winner to check for waste outfalls, and check the tides.  Oh, and make sure you call in at the Anstruther fish bar...but I bet you know that already

I think the 30 minute wait is what makes it so tastey when you finaly get served
must hold the record for the longest queue for a fish and chip shop
