MUD

.....and rain.  I'm fed up with it....just saying....

Mud? I was rather hoping that you'd say you wanted some.

I am beyond scunnered of the mud
We're all wearing bi-partite trousers these days….there's this funny brown smeary stuff up from the hems to just below the knees.

Wait and see, it'll be a fashion statement soon

Karen has just washed a pair of my muddy trousers. Well some of it was mud but apparently a percentage of the mud was piggy plop. She's hung them in the airing cupboard and it now stinks of poop. I think they might have to go back into the washing machine.

Ah, I am rather glad that ours is just good old fashioned Lanarkshire clay.
Sticky, incredibly tenacious blue clay.  Great for growing stuff if you can get and keep enough organic material in it, otherwise it's brilliant for making bricks and pottery.

Not a lot of pig keeping around here, or animals on grass really. Just mess waiting to happen.

We have rain   BUT now cold 11deg with a cold southerly wind   even got fire going. Been like this for 3 days Remember this is our summer. The X Sperts said it would stert start of this month with a long hot dry 'el nino' very bad on this side of island       Hope your rain stops and oura keeps going.

Yeah Sod we had the El Nino forecast ,worst since time began, paddocks turning into deserts blah blah, hasn't stopped raining since.
Around here we could show the pommies what real rain looks like, had 200mm in 6 hours a week ago.
debbie

true - but we've had it virtually non stop since August!
Yorkshire Geordie

Currently it's grey and overcast but pleasantly cool/warm for this time of year here in East Devon.
Nothing like the usual week-before-Christmas weather we had Oop Norf in Co. Durham.
However, there is no shortage of mud!

Yep Durham winters were defiantly colder and longer than down here! Haven't needed a vest for almost 30 years!!
perlogalism

I had a look at the Turkey's earlier and they are getting webbed feet!

At least two overcoats warmer here in Devon.

It's a lot more damp, mind!

This is a shot taken half an hour ago of the MUD the local beasts are having to endure.
