Mouse Blitz.

Every now and then we have to have a blitz on the mice around our place and today I'm going to start yet another one.
We've started to notice a few of the little beggars around and thats a sign that something needs to be done.
I've got them in the pigeon shed, I've noticed that some of the cockerels have had their tails nibbled and we also have them in the barn and in the cider shed.
I've got my arsenal ready and I'm going for a multi pronged attack on them.
I've got a nice bucket of wax bait blocks to deploy and in areas where we don't want to put poison down, I've got break back mouse traps and a largish catch alive box that should be put to good use.
I just hope that my mouse catching skills haven't gone in the same direction as my mole catching ones.

LOL! Time will tell, time will tell.

Do you have any cats? Ours have been worth their weight in gold~in respect to mice, voles, moles and the overpopulation of house sparrows and starlings.  Just a thought.

Our cats are getting into them too as they move in with the cooler nights.
NZPOME

Cats!! Useless beggers ours are, they catch the mice okay, bring them in live then sit back wiv a bowl of popcorn and watch Max the foxie go after them! It's all in a nights entertainment for them.

Looking forward to hearing how your blitz goes ,especially with the live catch box.

i set six mouse traps last night. I must have the only mice in creation that don't like peanut butter.

Chunks of Marathons, or those new fangled Snickers work well. It's the mix of chocolate, nuts and sugars.

Might just catch more than mice if put in traps here

You may have to make a razor blade trap   two blocks of wood made up like steps with a razor blade fixed into top step you do not put bait on the trap the mouse climbs the steps and looks over to look for the bait and then moving it,s head from side to side says wheres the cheese
bodger

Groan. The old ones are the best, but not always.
