mk1 knocker box

I need a bit of help from all the members that have problems with the old mk 1 knocker boxes .I am trying to draw up a schmatic with the view to repairing the old knocker boxes and need to identify the 2 chips inside the boxes ,The chips are the 2 black oblong things which would have had an id number printed on the top of them had deben not removed them so no body new what they were ,but ! they cant have removed them from every box !so i am hoping that one of you fellow hunters have a box which they have forgot to remove the id numbers? So if you are reading this can you please check your box to see if yours is one with the number still on ?Part numbers will do if it hasnt got it all there. Thanks for reading and lets hope we can get some of these brilliant little boxes sorted.....

Had to crawl under a hedge and BANNNNGGGGG  my back went, rang the wife to come get the dogs off me and then come help me home.  I can't hardly move at the mo so i will get the wife to look for  the boxes for me   Sorry.

Hey, how many answers do you want anyway? Better to have one quality answer, rather than a larger quantity of dross.
OTG is very broadly pro hunting but most definately not a specialist hunting forum. No one is forced to post on any thread, especially if they don't feel that they have anything useful to add, or if they haven't got a clue about a particular subject. Lighten up mate, one out of fifty 'ain't' that bad.

So who is going to tell the non ferreting members what a knocker box is.

Are you talking about the old Deben locators? If so, Brian Nuttall has still probably got a load. I could always ask him for you.
