Making time to go fishing.

I dug the worms yesterday and I'm going fishing this morning, no matter what happens. As soon as its light, I'm going to do a lightening feed and water of the birds and animals and then I'm off to the local pool where I caught those large perch last year.
I'll have to be careful now that this hours moved that I give myself time to do the rounds when I get back this afternoon.

Report, good or bad to follow.
conundrum

Enjoy.

Tight Lines and a 4lb. Stripey.

Thats me snookered for the day. The pool is an SSI and they are having wake boarding on it until Sunday. Unbelievable.

Surfing on coffins?

The silly woman seling the fishing tickets had the nerve to say that it wasn't interferring with the fishing.
Bazzer

Surely with a SSI that aint on??

One of my favorit swims on the trent suffers a water skiing club. They are a miserable bunch of so and so's, and show no consideration to anglers whatsoever.Weekends are a no go because of them.
It dosn't seem to put the fish off though, when their in a feeding mood that is.

Anyway, look on the bright side Bodger, the Perch will have a few more days growth on them when you do go
bodger

Wait until I catch one and show you the pictures. There are 4lb plus perch in this pool.

This wakeboarding is a new thing on the pool and it really isn't a suitable site.

Couple of minor accidents may not go amiss from the Anglers point of view but I still can't get my head round a SSI being used for such things. Disturbance from the wake, fuel pollution etc.

Haven't heard that term in donkies years.
Think I first came across it in Billy Lane's, Encyclopaedia of Float Fishing. Normally a method used a bit further North from us. Well quite a bit actually.

Never tried it myself, but I was watching a tv program the other day, and the chap on there was saying it was a bit of a lost art. But it was a good technique.
I'll be trying bread flake, though I'm not sure whether I need to use a ground bait and what it should be . Any suggestions ??
Gareth

I haven't been Stret Pegging for 6 or 7 years; It was an absoluted fabulous method for catching the Chub, Bream and Roach on the river Thet.

If I remember rightly you need a seriously good centre pin reel to become a master of the art.

Well a fixed spool will have to do

Wednesday looks promising
Bazzer

I've got this really old Hardy slung in the garage somewhere.
bodger

Winnie sitting today, I'll see what tomorrow brings.
Bazzer

Think I'd check the weather first.
