We lost our beautiful Maggie today. We had to take her to the vets and have her put to sleep.

I couldn't leave her there, so I brought her home and buried her in one of her favourite spots in the garden. I laid her on her own blanket and placed her favourite marble between her paws. " Here's your marble Maggie " I said as I stroked her for the last time.

She was just a few days short of thirteen and was as fit as a fiddle up until about five or six weeks ago. There'll never be another Maggie in our lives. She was a one off.

So sorry to read of this sad news Bodger and family.  My thoughts are with you on the loss of a furry friend so special.

Maggie, run free over Rainbow Bridge x

Oh Bodger I.m so sorry for you and Kaz. Such an awful thing. I've been there and done that. Really, really feel for you. Love Lizzie

Beautiful Maggie

I'm going to take a piece of slate into town today, to have a small headstone made with just her name on. It was very hard last night not having Maggie here with us.

So sorry to hear this - she sounds to have been a real character. They break our hearts don't they?

so sorry..thinking of you..R.I.P Maggie

You may have seen this before, it says everything really;

-The Last Battle-

"If it should be that I grow weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this last battle can't be won

You will be sad, I understand
Don't let your grief then stay your hand
For this day, more than all the rest
Your love for me must stand the test

We've had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears
You'd not want me to suffer, so
The time has come, please let me go

Take me where my needs they'll tend
And please stay with me 'til the end
Hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see

I know in time that you will see
The kindness that you do for me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I've been saved

Please do not grieve, it must be you
Who has this painful thing to do
We've been so close, we two, these years
Don't let your heart hold back its tears"

I'm truly sorry to hear of your sad loss , it leaves a big gap in your life .

So very very sorry John and Kaz

Just seen this-how sad. Did they get to the bottom of what was wrong with her?

No....they wanted to operate to see if it was her uterus but we didn't want to go down that route.

I'm so sorry for your loss, she looks like such a character.
