Light Sussex Breeding Trios.

I know that we are a bit of the way for most of you, but I thought that I'd give it a go. I have several trios of large utility LS fowl available. I'll stand by these birds as being top notch layers and that their offspring will be as equally as good.
I've got five well developed this years cockerels and i'll be letting each one of them go with two of last years hens. if you have any of these birds, then you'll be in a position to breed  the same stuff as I'll be breeding. I was thinking of 25.00 a trio. I may also have a few spare hens to go.

25  trio is a bargain Bodge!
sandrar

It is, many charge more than that for a single bird and these are fantastic birds.

I'm sure Bodger will post his own pictures but in the meantime 2 of the 6 pullets hatched this year from eggs of his birds. Already in lay at 20 weeks.

bodger

Thanks for that Sandra What I will do, is to get some pictures of the young cocks that I've selected.
debbie

On my wish list - wish you were closer as I'd have at least a trio and any spare hens you had.  LS are my favourite birds and yours are the best if your Indian Game are anything to go by.  you may have to re-think your pricing though Bodger - LS trio down here 65 min.  if anyone is on their way from John to down here let me know
bodger

There's a rare breed sale at the local cattle market next month. Last year, trios fetched 70 a trio but these are mates rates and I have far too many. Its Karen whose making me do it.
Mo

Wish we were closer   Just needing hens.
bodger

Here are a couple of the young lads.

debbie

OK John, "Bodgers light sussex tour of the south west"  sound good to you???
budgie

even i'd be looking then!!!!!! love the sussex great birds really cant find good ones here so if you docome down thats one more trio to load with you!
bodger

I'm always up for some away days, its the OH who needs the convincing.
debbie

well, you know you both have a standing invitation to stay with us...can even provide temporary chicken housing up in our linhay up by the house....only trouble is I have a feeling that the amount you would spend on fuel might SLIGHTLY outweigh anything you would get for your poultry!
jimbo

if you come down this way Bodger would be keen to buy a few pullets
bodger

You West Country folk could all hire a minibus and come up here.
budgie

how much zider did you say you made? you say stuff like that and you best make some more!!!!!!
bodger

3000 litres should be enough to hold you all.
budgie

whats that you only want us to all pop up and go the same day?
bodger

Mines a sipping cider.

I've just sold two LS and a couple of Welsummers. The sale came from a sign that I have up at the gate.
bodger

One trio of LS sold to a forum member.
sandrar

  They've got a very good buy !
bodger

I need to cut down and if I can't, quite a few will be heading for the pot.
I'm off to deliver the hens just up the road.
Taffy

chickenstu

madmac

Do you still  have any trios available?
love sussex and certainly have room for a few
bodger

I could rustle you up a trio. I have a superb this years cockerel available and some of last years hens to go with him.
madmac

brilliant would a buff Sussex go with them ok? very pretty girl and I do love Sussex, cheeky but robust.
bodger

I'm not sure what you'd get but at least you'd be able to get some pure birds from the trio.
