LED bulbs

We have 5 downlights in the kitchen, recessed with halogen bulbs.
Now, Ive been thinking of replacing these for a while, but John bought LED's before and firstly, they were really 'blue' white and secondly, not bright enough.
Anyone had any better luck?
Gareth

18 months or so ago I bought a gang of multi position 4 LED lights to go over my drawing board, and like you have pointed out they gave out blue almost grey light and were not very bright.

I have since changed these original LED bulbs with the second generation of LEDS and these are considerably better ........ an almost pure white light which is pleasant to work under, and does not place a strain upon my eyes.

So, do you know where I could buy what Im looking for?
Gareth

I stripped down the lamps themselves and wired in new LEDs which I purchased from ebay.

A simple straight forward wiring job.

Not sure what bulbs you have but these are the ones we use.
Like you the first gen of LED's are very dim but these are a lot better
