Learning to whittleAfter seeing these http://www.whittling.com/MyWork/my_work%5B1%5D.htm
I’d love to learn to whittle and wondered if anyone knew of whittling courses around Herefordshire, Shropshire or Powys. I know I could just go and buy a book and a knife and get started but I find I learn so much better if I’m shown by someone knowledgeable. I find it difficult to get started and often find books are only useful as aid memoirs once I’ve had training , but if in all honesty it really is so simple that you think I’d be mad to pay someone to teach me can you recommend a good book please. Thanks.
Beth.

Hope the mods don't take offence at this but have a look at http://woodlife.ning.com/ where they have a very active woodcarving group doing spoons, fish, birds, all sorts Drop me a PM with your e-mail I'll send you an invite if you like.
