In the begining....

remember this from last year

a few weeks back

and later that day, water hose in place

Slowly, but getting there

Looking good, keep pegging away lad!

Wow, youve done loads, looks good
Christine

You trying to turn a weedy garden into a productive veg patch by any chance?   Takes year man - but it's certainly coming along innit?
Digindeep

Nail on the head springs to mind , Christine, but slowly but surely its getting there.
Thanks all for your comments...appreciated...

Just a little update, slowly moving forward, I've now got to order in some more blocks....

However as the weather is at the moment, I'm not in a great rush to do so   ....not complaining about this beautiful weather, just finding it hard to work in, digging out footings and so on
Christine

In this weather it's just hard work is labouring ..... or gardening.

The cat family has it right to sleep in the sun ....

and now inside the poly...

Its all a bit behind, mainly due to the building of the bed and therefore the late planting out. Slowly but surely its catching up, the tom's are well in flower now , most with at least three trusses.

At least now it feels as though I'm getting back to gardening, albeit slowly and a long road ahead still to go. In respect of building more retaining walls. In fact I'm expecting the next lorry load this weekend. Then the work begins all over again. More done this year, the better and easier it will be next season.
Well that's what I keep telling myself

kat_lewis

DD very impressive for the first year   As you say next year will be easier and better
Digindeep

The latest, yesterdays work until it became too, dare I say hot and today so far.

48 mtr of decking later..and only a very minor amount of waste.
All that's left to do now is give them a protective coating and level them in situe, which can be done early mornings, not to disturb anyone..
before the sun comes up

Now if anyone of you have a spare moment...there's a small matter of shifting a 120 blocks and numerous slabs, sand ect. from the front of the house to the bottom of the garden...only three pallet loads..honestly

OH!...and laying them.....    freinds..

Seriously, well done mate, that's a lot of work going on there!

But where's the offers to my plea's......
Rena

I'm willing to help! Just gimme a sec an I'll be right over....(now . . . to cross a few states, swim a little pond and cross some more land...)

Seriously though, I hope my garden spot looks as good as yours does, in two years!

Love the view of a happy, growing garden.

Afraid you have me on the garden there Digin...I am NO WHERE near what you have accomplished! In fact, I've only just removed my head from the sand (...since it wasn't helping... ) ... my own destructive chickens, calf, the deer, freezes, heat, bear sightings, etc got me so down I just about gave up! Your spot gives me hope, if I will but not wave the white flag quite yet! Sides....we positively have an 'oasis' goin on in this here desert land!

(Not quite so sure I'm THAT much younger than you, I have a son who's turning 28 this month!!   )

Oooooooo, the life! A bus pass even! You be livin mighy high on the hog these days, eh? Don't ferget yer friends....
