I'm off to town.

I'm going to take my wellies off for an hour and get off into town. I'll visit Home Bargains and Wilkinsons and see what onion setts they've got in. Their 'El Cheapo' setts did really well for me last year. I'll let you know what I come back with.

I came home with quite a few onions. from Home Bargains I got three packs of what looked to be good onion sets at 99p a pack. I got Stuttgarter, Red Baron and Centurion. This really put me in the mood, so then I called at the garden centre and bought some Red Karmen and some Sturon. I think that I've got more than enough to be going on with.
Lorrainelovesplants

what are you going to do with all those onions?
bodger

We get through about a dozen a week. Last year I thought I'd grown enough but we soon got through them.

We have onions with nearly everything, probably 3-5k a week
Sita

How do you cook them?  We get through a lot of onions but only 'cause I cook Italian and Indian a lot.

We just use them in all sorts of recipes - curries, pasta dishes, casseroles, salads/wraps
