Huckleberry Blossom

i took this picture today in the woods. the wild huckleberries will be ripe to pick in april and make a good jam and/or pie.

I had wondered what the flowers (and berries~you'll need to post photos when that time comes ) look like...don't know if we have those in our area. Great photo! Thanks!

Are the berries black? I think I tried to grow a Huckleberry from seed once

That's a lovely flower It  will be interesting to see what the berries are like.

they can look black but are really a dark purple . they start off green , shade to red (tart then), then to dark purple when fully ripe.

They look very similar to UK sloes (gin additive) but I presume they're totally different.
