How old is old ?

Yesterday I asked my son if he would be able to photograph the old cider press for me.

he said " it's not the press that's old it's the apple mill " (shows how much I know about cider making)

husband butted in " it's not that old -  only about 80 years "

Made me smile.

Apparently the mill is modern to cider making, the old boys always used the granite stone and horse.

Make sure that that young boy of yours takes those pictures. I can't wait to see them.

I've rarely been in 'the shed'. There is also an old 2 stroke ( I think ) hedge cutter that apparently was made during the war for the Land girls so they didn't have to cut hedges by hand.

Not sure what else 'the shed' holds. I know a lot has been given to the local museum.

Its amazing what you find isn't it - we found an old shearing machine with a two stroke engine mounted on a wooden sack barrow in ours - the original "portable" sheep shears I think.
