How friendly is your cat?

Our casey cat is adorable and won't leave us alone when it jumps in through the window and finds us watching the television.....however......when she has had enough of a fuss she will turn into a whirling dervish and your hand disappears in a mass of 4 paws with claws out and teeth :smt103

She also will not allow her beautiful leopard spot tummy to be touched -the kids used to dare one another to try to stroke her tummy without getting slashed by a paw :smt103

.......but apart from that she is lovely

(It just shows the diffference between cats and dogs - the dogs wouldn't dream of stopping you from making a fuss of them)
MrsWW

I used to have cats that'd be loving having the tummy tickled but the second they'd had enough - all four paws with claws out would come up and clamp onto your wrist OUCH!
green man

That's why I really do prefer dogs :grommit:

Can usually tell from the look on is face when Bengie is going to transform from the happily purring softie to savage wild animal his great grandparents were but if you miss the signs you soon find out just how many sharp pointy bits a Bengal cat has!
Brownbear

Lucy Fur changes pretty quickly, but you can spot when she's about to nip. She never uses her claws unless you unintentionally startle her. she doesn't even use claws when Tom (GSP puppy) suddenly plants his nose on her bumhole, though she does give him a good few punches to the face.

Play fighting with Bengie is usually without claws unless I get him really over excited which is my fault!
nanny

really it depoends on which cat we are speaking of

tula is a very people orientated cat and will sit on your lap and purr for hours

sofie is too timid and will only allow herself to be cuddled on certain ocassions

lottie is a fierce creature and is too busy for most cuddles but when she is in the mood has to be cuddled like a baby

dunlop and goodyear want a fuss, dunlop is too persistant and digs his claws in and goodyear is too fat to sit on anybody's lap

seven is so rarely seen that he misses out
green man

you need a lotta laps in your house :q28:
Leonie

Poppy is a bit aloof most of the time, occasionally she'll come over for a stroke but that last for a few seconds and then she's off. Yesterday she put her front paws onto my lap asking for a stroke, first time she's ever done that! She is a rescue cat so it's taking a while for her to get friendlier, she's getting better slowly.

this is Charlie....

he is sooo evil..!!!!

I'm not over keen on cats but they absolutely adore me, they seem to head straight for me.
When I was a PC, there was one particular cat that in the early hours would seek me out when I was on the town centre beat and absolutely demand a fuss. It was a real softy :-)

That's cats for you, when I was growing up we had a cat that absolutly refused to sit on anyone's lap apart from one of my uncles and one of my freinds, both allergic to cats!

oh by the way i forgot on

hobo, the cat who strikes fear into the hearts of visiting dogs....his mere prescence has been known to strike fear into a cananin heart and the dog will be too frightened to leave the room...all hobo has to do is sit in the doorway and wash his face with a paw.....

other than that he is a big puddytat and big enought to keep you warm if he sits on your lap

Is it true that all ginger cats are male and all tortoiseshells are female?
conundrum

Generally yes, but unfortunately like most of these things there are the exceptions to the "rule"

Many a kitten has been born to a ginger "boy" ::
green man

My neighbour's got a ginger female :-)
