Home Page

It's great when a new member comes along and refreshes old threads - talking about you Jacquie

It got me wondering how many of you ever go to the home page? I just dive right into the forum.

Looking at the home page just now I found Bodger's Egg to Oven post (which I am now going to have to read   and which I should have read waaay before now).

Jacquie also resurrected the 'How to' thread which seemed to die.

I, for one, would be happy over the winter months to cobble stuff together to put things on the home page.

What do we think? Should we do some maintenance on the home page?

I haven't discussed this with Bodger or Kaz - apologies if I'm stepping on toes - but I think this should come from the members so the onus is not on them, if you know what I mean?

My worst thing, was when I was trying to be hip, and decided to make my self a hipster skirt, got this lovely psychdelic material sewed it up, and then put on a belt, thought i was the bees knees, until i got off the tube at baker street, my homemade skirt went down the tunnel, i was left with flimsy pants on and the belt,in those days they had a guard so went into his booth, this huge coloured man was there reading a paper, I said can you help me no reply, so i snatched the paper used it to shield my modesty, up the escalator, did get a few strange looks and cat whistles, got to the ticket offices found a pay phone, rang my dad, he said where are you told him baker st, didnt dare tell him that i was nearly naked in public, he said could I get the to  main road and he will pick me up, I explained that I couldnt, he shouted so loud im sure the whole of London could hear him. he said stay where you are and ill come and find you, well he did but he grounded me for months

Well, how about the time I was in a night club (in my dim and distant past and "thin" days) when this absolutely drop dead georgeous guy came over to me and asked for a light - I put down my glass of wine, smiled in what I hoped was a sexy manor rumaged in my bag....and tried to light his cigerette with a tampax

OK Kaz, I think I have hijacked this thread long enough - how about we split it as Jacquie has suggested we must all have loads of this type of story to tell?
