Home Early !

This morning saw me at the crack of dawn digging in the muck heap for some worms, so that I could take them for a swim in one of my favourite little rivers but I was back home before I'd even wet a worm. Why ? I'll tell you why ! It was because I EFFING fell in the river !
I'm beginning to think that I'm way too old for this game. It may be summer but you can take it from me that the water was ice cold and  that it was bdooly deep too.
I managed to get to the bank and empty my wellies and then squelch back up the river bank to the carpark where I'd left my van. Squelch, squelch blinking squelch. I got home, stripped off outside the back door and sneaked in without my wife Karen seeing me to get some dry clothes on. Why are you laughing ? Its not funny you know !

I was hoping to get some nice photos of the river and of the fish that I was bound to have caught but this is all your bdooly well getting !

I am awaiting some fishing stuff to be delivered as my Grandaughter wants to go trout fishing. I will be extra careful on the river bank lol.

Revenge of the fishes.
Glad you got back home all right.
Maybe you should take up swimming instead of fishing?

Take it from me, wild river swimming is a load of crap.

Did you get out sea fishing afterwards?
bodger

I did and you wont help but be impressed with the one photo I took.

I'm not a person whose easily put off, so undaunted by my earlier experience of wild river swimming, I decided to do a spot of sea fishing. I fished the tide up from the rocks near to the Lleyn village of Edern and did some some spinning.
I was hoping to catch a few mackerel. However, here's the one photo I managed to take. My entire catch after two hours of thrashing the water. You've simply got to admire the little chaps ambition, anyone for a fish finger butty ?

Good report and photographs, thanks Bodger.

I do hope you called at the local chippy on the way home to enjoy with your catch.
