Handi work and craft competition.... with a decent prize

OK, folks I have a life pro-membership of www.instructables.com

But my step-by-step photo articles that I post on there keep getting me awarded with additional pro-memberships which I may give away to others; they are pro-membership codes that anyone may use, and they may be redeemed at anytime ..... there is no time limit to register these codes.

So I am willing to offer a 12 months pro-membership equivalent to $30.00 as a first prize, and a 3 month pro-membership equivalent to $16.00 as a runner up prize to the instructables web-site.

Here is a file outling the advantages of pro-membership to the instuctables web-site over free membership

Click to download file

This competition is open to all OTG members (regardless of posting numbers) from now until mid night on Christmas Eve.... the 24th of December 2012.

Lois, and our friends; Jo and Rebbecca will act as impartial judges, and I will send the codes to the lucky winners on the 1st of January 2013: you may redeem the codes at any time you may wish.

We want to see photographs of your handiwork, whatever it may be, be it; a card, a cake, decorations, knitting, needlework, net making, leatherwork, wood or metal work, model kits, paintings, drawings, inks, screen prints, sketches, sculptures, etc.

A photo of anything can be entered so long as you have made it.

C'mon folks get posting those photos
Gareth

Today I have been awarded another 3 months Instructables  pro-membership, and I have decided to offer this up as an additional runner up prize.

So, that is a 12 months membership for the winner, and two runners up each receiving a 3 months membership.

Let's get posting folks.
Border

What ideas have you been sending in to Instructables, Gareth.
Border

Arrrrrrrrr..........I see now a whole stack of things.
Wilder

Willing to bet that we are all waiting to see what sort of things others will post

Righty O.

I'll start this thread off properly ....... but as the sponsor of this competition, these items that I have made will not be entries.

My graphite sketch of the nurse who looked after me when I was seriously ill, my matchstick covered drawings tube, cardboard Stallion and my twisted Hazel walking stick.

My matchstick covered pencil cases.

The first ever needlepoint project I have done.

The Steel rampant Stallions I made:

Here is a selection of the knitting and crochet that I do....

Here are a few things I have made.

A clay pigeon trap.

A rifle rest.

An air operated beer and pop can crusher, all crusted cans are sorted and then sold for recycle.

Wilder

One of the items I have made for an upcoming Christmas Market we have a stall at

Each figure is a puzzle and the pieces are individually stained and varnished.

Very nice
Lorrainelovesplants

okay...........

here is a weathervane that John has just (literally, this morning) installed for a couple of friends.

We do make and sell (and install) these - this one would be 140 (installation extra).
Gareth

Righty O!

Lois and our friends; Jo & Rebecca have chosen Wilders Crib figures as recipient of the first prize and Borders mechanical thingy-ma-jigs ..... their words not mine mate  as the runner up

So I will email over the instructable's free membership codes in a few days.

However, because there were only 4 entries (albeit a few days late by Lorraine), when I have earned another set of free codes from instructables I am going to send one each to both Lorraine and Kaz
kaz

Well done Wilder - I love your jigsaws

and thanks for the competition and prizes Gareth
Lorrainelovesplants

damned decent chap!

Actually had forgotten all about the dates
Wilder

Oooohhh....... thank you so much!  This has really made my day.  My daughter, her OH and my eight month old grandson have been staying with us for a week (which is why I haven't been able to get near the computer!) and they went home today, so I was feeling all sad.  This has really cheered me up.

We didn't sell the nativity set at the market we went to........ but I have to confess that I over-priced it because I wanted to keep it, really.

The only problem is that two of my daughters want me to make them one each for next year!
