Forget Carbon Trading.

Its only for the benefit of the rich nations anyway, this seems to be a much better way of easing the wests concience.

Well if I can fund a programme of family planning for say an american family or english family who take pride in having been on the dole for last 20 years that would offset at least twice my yearly CO2 each year

Following reports that this government actually considered limiting the amount of methane producing livestock grown in this country,  (until someone pointed out that they would just grow more of it abroad and we would import it) :xroll:

Would you fancy this ?  Imagine from stock farmer to lab technician in a couple of generations!

Both are interesting ideas but I believe each would work better on paper than in practice.  I like the first idea myself but I tend to think maybe we should stop artificially raising the carrying capacity of humanity but I guess this would not be politically correct.  Before our countries go too much further with this I sure wish someone would explain why the ice caps on mars are meltiing.  I'm thinking its probably due to the Ford Pinto.
