Flatiron Fur shed Rondy (PIC HEAVY FOR SURE)

Last weekend Michelle and I hosted what appears to be the first Flatiron Rondy . The Big Dog and a couple of friends did the cooking while I was the host and court jester .

Trapworks sent over a wee Jimmy cap that was a hit of the event .

Michelle made lots of things happen to pull this event off , lots of campers , wine , spirits and ale . Tons of food and lots of laughs along with plenty of trapping instructions . Thank you Michelle !

Lots of work feeding and hosting 125+ at your home for three days BUT we plan to do it again next year . We had an auction of hunting and trapping gear donated to us , Yours truly was the auctioneer and we raised $810 , plus a trapping instruction raffle that raised $355 . All this money will go into the trappers relief fund for those who are in need such as I was after the fire .

I've met most of the people in Flatirons pictures and better than that, consider them to be friends. It looks as though you had a great time of it.

Ye gods! That trailer BBQ/Smoker is a piece of kit to die for!

Is there still a real market for fur in the US then, Flatiron?
flatiron

Those not into the Colonials way of BBQ's, Smoking etc. that one pic'd on here is about the equivalent of about one of those little round Tescons ones here in the UK.
I'm sure "Flatters", "A Jim" or "BB" can post some links to show the ones that can do whole hogs and takes 24hrs.+ to cook them. Stainless Steel Monsters to DIY works of art but all on wheels, towed behind massive Cu.Ins. of V8.
Butterbean

That looked like a lot of fun.

That smoker WILL do two whole hogs . Its much bigger than the pic shows . We had 120# of pork roasts on it and room for three times that many .
