First year with a poly tunnel

Loads of Tom's, Capsicum peppers and lettuce and courgettes...
Now slowly clearing out and adding more fresh compost and some manure.
First time as said....

Come on what can I now grow in the poly now?......

Have noticed with the courgettes they were like triffids...burst through the zippa doors...so much foliage...yet produced well. Spent most the summer cutting back the leaves to allow the fruit to grow. Lot more male flowers than outdoors also.
Those planted as usual outdoors have produced equally, but with a lot less foliage.

You tell me....first year........

If you don't mind faffing about a bit you can eat the male flowers either simply dipped in a light batter and fast fried or stuffed with cream cheese type filling then battered and fried

Some salad type stuff will grow on now if you like winter salads.  Might still be time for some of the winter endive and maybe chinese leaves (never liked much of that stuff myself in the winter months  )

Leave it a bit then around christmas start some fast growing broad beans like express for an early crop

If you have some spare cauli plants those will come, but if you are not careful you will have the bed full of things when you are ready to start the new seasons planting
