First piccie of my mini zoo!

Bengie the breeders reject Bengal Cat (tail to long and a few of his spots are short stripes!)

Also in the zoo 11 chickens (7 Pekins (1 boy 6 girls), 4 araucana pullets which might be banties or might be large fowl, the joys of buying at auction!), 2 dwarf lop eared rabbits, 4 giant African land snails (which live here the 3 weeks from 6 that the kids are here) and loads of tropical fish (not sure how many, the platties seem to be having babies faster than I'm giving the baby platties away)

nice pics mate! lets see the chooks then!

Will sort some new piccies of the chooks out soon, they'll be kept in the coop for the next few days as I've just put the new araucanas in with rest of them after a week quarantined on buying them so it'll be a few days

Yep, bit of an odd cat been a Bengal, not at all aloof, follows you around and tries to get involved with everything you are doing in a rather labradorish sort of way and loves playing in water. Have to be careful not to leaver the bath running unattended or I might have scalded cat and have gone into the garden and found him happily paddling in the pond up to his chin in it!
Currently in his fave spot on top of the tropical fish tank, the lights warm it nicely for him so he'll curl up and go to sleep for an hour or two, then get up, strech and lie down on the other side to toast that for another hour or two, hard life being a cat isn't it?

Whenever my tropical fish had babies they only seemed to be around for a few days before something bigger than them in the tank ate them

Started with six platties, two died within a couple of days, Have given about 20 away and have about 18 (don't keep still long enough to count them!) in the tank. Only fry to ever survive in my tank!

from my experience it looks like angels don't like hard water, never had an Angel last long so have given up trying to keep them!
