Diesel?

Diesel in the local garage 1.49p a litre, where as we saw diesel in some garages on the way to Stoke.on.Trent last weekend at 1.40. No wonder its hard to make ends meet out in the countryside.
debbie

1.54.9 here!
bodger

Blimey ! We'd better bring some down to you the next time we call.
debbie

Unleaded is 1.51.9 (don't ask me where the .9 comes into it and yep its always rounded up not down!

Funny how you can't get it to pump exactly 5L by volume to match 5L value.
sod

12 Bore here our pump you just push button for how much you want.

Diesel here is $1.44 a litre or about 72pence   BUT!!!!! we then pay road tax that is worked out on your weight/KM starting at 4tonne so cheap to run little cars pay a lot in road tax   also road licence for diesel so dearer than petrol.
dtalbot

141.9 in Derby tonight
LadySlip

1.449 here
chicken feed

1.40.9 diesel

1.32.9 unleaded

if we remember to fill up on the way back from the farm rather than buy from our local station theirs is 144.9 & 1.38.9 so quiet a saving without going out of our way.
escape

1.41 here as well.

A few years ago, I was talking to a local farmer about turning his rapeseed into bio fuel.
Decided it was not worth it as the cost to make worked out about 1.02 (including fuel duty etc)

Now however, I might pop back and have a chat to him

My whinge is at the use of decimal points, we don't have a 0.9p coin!

We also pay road tax. It ranges from free to about 500 depending on car age & how much pollution it makes per km.
