Cheapest/dearest fuel

Diesel is 133.9 a litre locally but we had to go to Abergele today and filled up at 130.9 40 miles from home
What is the cheapest that you can buy fuel for?
debbie

our local petrol station is up to 137.9p. next nearest is 25 miles away so they have the say really.
Pilsbury

I filled up at 128.9 today at sainsburys

ETA thats for diesel
MikeM

think we're paying about 133.9 for diseal round here. There's a place in crediton that does biodies for about 115 or so, would probably pay for me to go to him when I need fuel next. Getting to be awfully expensive.

Here is what money saving expert has to say on the subject along with a link to a site that will show you the cheapest place near you but you do have to sign up to a free stie to access the information

OH paid 129p/litre at a local petrol station for diesel the other day.

My car runs on unleaded but as I only have to put fuel in it every 2 months or so - price isn't really an issue for me.  I only drive 15 - 20 miles/week at the moment.  That is unless I'm doing a site set up for work, in which case they pay me 40p/mile which more than covers it.

Tescons (hawk and spit!) down road is 129.9 as of Saturday for Diesel and about 126.9 for petrol(the latter is to best of my recall - I only evr check Diesel prices).

One of my colleagues runs a land rover that runs perfectly without convertion on pure veg oil I won't upset every Diesel driver here by telling you the sort of price he pays even with the VAT increase (GIT)
bodger

Tescons in Bangor was 132.9.
Justme

Was just on the news that they are looking at a price reduction for remote areas. To bring the price down to match city prices.
debbie

wish they would justme although I don't hink our local would take much notice.  they have the menopaly and put the prices up in the summer even more when the grockles are around - have us over a barrel really.

The local Morrisons is at 1.30 a litre on diesel but I called in for fuel to a garage on the A1 near County Durham and it was 1.38 a litre.
lizzie44

Petrol here is 1.26 and diesel 1.32. Love Lizzie
Woodsmoke

We're at 126 for petrol & up to 134 for diesel

This really is getting beyond the limits of what ordinary people should be expected to pay..................I cant think of anywhere else in Europe that would allow their government to get away with this!

Incidentally, I read to day of a garage in Chelsea that was charging 159.9 for unleaded! Profiteeering SOB should have his place razed to the ground

Ahh-but that's special fuel for all the Chelsea Tractors!!

Petrol, diesel, LPG, E 10, it's all the same here in Australia, one gigantic government, oil company rip-off.
Our government hasn't got the balls to tackle the oil companies, there again thats understandable if you look what lunatics we have in power.
Diesel is here AUD $ 1.28 a litre, petrol a bit cheaper depending on the day of purchase.
If all that tax was spent on road building and other badly needed infrastructure, most of us would not complain.
The bulk of this tax is wasted by the government and their fat cats leaving expensive memorials to gloat over, while a lot of pensioners can't even get their teeth fixed or get a hip replacement.
Best Regards,
Jan. Brisbane.

About 82 pence a litre at UK prices............

We haven't seen fuel as cheap as that since the late-90's

yep, over here it works out to $2.02 a liter austrailian, the fat cats and monuments are just the same though
sapphire

Our nearest garage 3 miles away is 136.9 per litre for diesel.
freckle

Between 1.32 and 1.35 round here.

Another thing to consider: LPG  AUD $ 056 litre. From our own gas fields off Western Australia.                                                                       We have a 200 year stockpile still in the ground.                                The Oil companies and the Government  have the cheek to tell everbody that the base fuel price is decided in Singapore.
Where are the reasons to say such rubbish, or am I too simple to understand all this claptrap.
One thing I do know is that this same LPG is exported to all the Far Eastern countries for just under US $ 0.02 per litre.
Our elected idiots have us all by the ------!!!!!!!!!
Best Regards,
Jan. Brisbane.
