Chatsworth Country Fair.

Chatsworth Country Fair. Its a very good show that we've been going to since 1984.

Karen and I will be there on the Sunday and it would be nice to bump into faces both old and new.

I'm usually there one of the two days, will make it Sunday to catch up unless the weather is nice Sat and forecast foul for Sun!

I love Chatsworth...tempted, but I think that will be the weekend that we're up to our ears in Pork.

Bugger, working this weekend, looks a good day too.

Two day tickets booked as hopefully I'll be able to make it Friday late afternoon for the Red Arrows, will be rather strange seeing them fly an 8 ship formation.

Looks like the Red Arrows will be at Chatsworth tomorrow at 4:15 for the first public display since the accident, will be along to support them if I'm back from London in time!

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Its coming towards the end of the show season and there are usually some bargains to be had but I have been warned to curb my spending. Its been an expensive last couple of months.

Just back from Chatsworth having got back from London just in time to see the Red Arrows, a brilliant display but also a poignant one as the first since the crash. I've seen the missing man formation flown before but with only 8 planes the whole display was a half hour long missing man formation (I'll post some pics once I've had time to sort the 500 shots I've taken) and a suitable tribute to great pilot.
The rest of the show was probably the best in 3 or 4 years, certainly more there than last year, some bargains to be had but for the best of those you really need the Midland Game Fair at Weston Park next weekend.
Aside from the red Arrows, the Household cavalry musical ride was a spectacular as ever, the Tigers freefall team dropped in and the REME Band beat the retreat at about 6 (not a bad set of displays considering I didn't get there till nearly 4)but as the tannoy announced gridlock on the surrounding roads I hung about for another couple of hours to get something to eat and watch the hot air balloons.
Should be good on Sunday as well!

Its grey and drizzly here right now but undaunted, we are just about to set off to travel the hours journey to Chatsworth.

Sorry I didn't manage to catch up with you mate, phone playing up so couldn't call and locate you and although I think I spotted the pair of you at the other side of the ring at one point but whoever I was I'd seen had moved by the time I got round there.
Hope you had a great day once the weather improved.
