Canadian Hay

Doodle went to ride with a friend at the weekend who has sourced all her hay for the winter from Canada!
She has bought it through an agent in Devon and even with shipping and delivery it has worked out cheaper than anything she can get locally.
The bales are very compacted - each bale is the equivalent of 3 small bales and they are priced at 12 each.
She could not get hay locally for less than 6 a small  bale
conundrum

Kaz,

Canada has been supplying folks in the UK (and other parts of Europe) for some time now, and I can tell you....they grow fabulous hay here, I buy a 60% grass, 40% Alfalfa mix, and barely need to hard feed the field horses all winter, and the winter is REAL here...lol.
