BSA Rifles....

Hi all

Had to gat all of my guns and guitars out of the small spare room so that the wife could give it a clean, I took the opportunity to photograph mt Beesa riflesall together, or so I thought!, I'd forgotten a 1906 BSA Air Rifle and My Stutzen Airsporter which is stripped ready for an overhaul!!

Had to take two pics as they wouldn't fit in one!

Cheers, John

Hi Border

That's a 1936 BSA Standard Mod2..

Here's a 1907 BSA Air Rifle that I forgot to include in the pic..

It needs work (and a full set of sights!!)..

And the Airsporter Stutzen that's in bits at the moment..

John, I had a mate who had an old air rifle that was identical to the one in the top photograph and it was one of the strongest springers that I've ever fired. I don't know what he'd done with it but it would put a dint in one of the old fashioned heavy dustbins. This was about 40 years ago.

Hi Bodger

Do you mean the top pic of the last two that I posted??

If so, it's very similar to a BSA Improved model D and the Lincoln Jeffries guns..

These old guns can be quite powerful even though they don't have the swept volume of the HW80 but then the 80 can be made to shoot at 24ft lbs, twice our legal limit!!

Here's a .22 pellet that I shot at a garden slab from close range with the Standard..

There's plenty of power in the gun even after 77 years!!!
