Beach Fishing.

I've got all the gear, we only live five minutes away from the  beach and after a break of quite a few years, I've dusted everything off ready for some autumn and winter beach fishing. All that I have to do now, is to make myself make the effort and get out there and do it.
The nights are drawing in and being on the beach beneath the stars has got to be a better bet than sitting vegetating infront of the television. What I need now, is to get hold of a tide table and make a decision as to  when and where my first outing is going to be. I will do it, so watch this space.

That sound good mate.  I really enjoyed my time fishing those rock marks near you.  I've still got some of those leads you kindly gave me too.

I wish I were closer to the sea as I love beach fishing - my only problem is I'm not very good at getting the lead out too far.

Derbyshire is Gods own country the only thing missing is the sea, I'd love the chance for fresh mussels and mackerel. Go for it you'll feel great once you start.

Chest waders? I'm seriously thinking of gettting the kids to buy me some for Christmas. I don't want top of the range but nor do I want them to be poor ones either. I'll be using them when I'm spinning from our shallow beaches. Any recommendations?

I use Ocean waders, they're cheap and easy to patch if you get a hold in them.

Click articles tab for catolouge.

Ocean also do pull over smocks, just the job when you want to be fully waterproofed.

I thought you wanted them for going outside to feed animals
bodger

They might very well come in handy for that too.

Well I got them. My kids clubbed together and bought me a pair of chest waders for Christmas. I can't wait for the summer and those early light mornings to come around. I'm up and out of bed at around 5.30 most mornings and its my intention to be be down on the beach spinning for bass as often as possible during the summer months.

When i'm wading in my waders, its struck me that I'll be wanting one of those diddly little landing nets. You know the sort, one of those that You see the likes of John Wilson or Paul Young with. Any suggestions as to where I could get one from would be much appreciated.

This sort of thing?

Spot on Joe Any of those three look as though they'll do the job. I just hope that the bass I'm going to catch aren't going to be too big to fit in the net.
