Apple Events in October.

The Welsh Perry and Cider Society sent me an E-Mail this morning as a heads up for this event, along with lots of other apple gatherings throughout the lengh and breadth of Wales in the month of October.

I hope that this might be of use to fellow appley folks.

Dear WPCS member

October is the month where we celebrate Apple Day. Apple Day was initiated by Common Ground in 1990, and takes place on 21 October each year. People organise events all over the UK to celebrate apples, orchards and local distinctiveness.

Here are just a few Welsh apple events for October....

Admission free: Opening time 11 4pm
A fun day for all the family
Cheese & apple lunch 12 2pm
Apple bobbing, competitions, raffle etc.
Includes fruit identification, so take along your apples.
This is fundraising for a local community centre so any donations of apple juice or

23rd & 24th  Apple Weekend

For any one living in west/mid Wales there are appledays from Oct.20 to Nov 3 with various events according to day at Llanerchaeron estate--or so I've just been told.
