Additional Signage

Some of you will remember that a few years ago I had my van sign written for our cider and apple juice business. There was always the small panels on the front doors that I couldn't think what to do with, well now the space has been filled. The sign writer nipped in today and did this. I'm pretty pleased, what do you think? It certainly can't do any harm.

Yorkshire Geordie

Looks like you've gone the whole hog now!
Lovely

Very nice.  I like that.

Are you going to offer a Pork and Ride service?
bodger

Duelling banjos? No sireee!
horace

Looks good
Rena

Love it!!!
bodger

As soon as I get the van washed and get months of grime off it, I'll take a shot of the whole van with all the signs on it.
sod

The door is the fist place I notice when I see sign written vans as here they have to have home town near or on door. That looks great clear simple easy to read at a glance Spot on.
bodger

About as clean as my van is ever going to be again.   I really must get those rust spots on the sill sorted.

Rick & Carol

very smart - mind you a sign written morris minor van would really be the biz
Yorkshire Geordie

What - one similar to this with adverts on?

I wonder why?
Martyn
horace

Definately not that would be sacrilege
hughesy

John did it occur to you to get GOS one side and LB on the other?   Or is this a sign that you'll be sticking to just the one breed?
bodger

I think that the GOS's are more photogenic and definitely have a higher profile. Generally, Joe Public have heard of the GOS's but not the LB's.
I do like the LB's but I realise that I only have the space and the ambition to keep one breed. The jury is still out as to which one it will be.
hughesy

Not to be outdone I thought I'd get the back of the Landy done

So if you go for the LB's it'll be another set of expensive decals to put on your van then.
bodger

No, I'll just crayon the GOS picture in black and I've just picked this up off him, its a sign to hang outside the house and its on aluminium sheet too.

And as for expensive? Three signs for the van, one on each of the front doors and one on the back, plus the hanging sign ( both sides) thirty five quid the lot!

re the Morris traveller....
I have mine living in the polytunnel at present so John can work on the braking system, but I have already got my magnetic signage for Millie.

This was our Traveller that sadly had to go to help pay off the last of the mortgage - How I hanker for another. But the pick up or van version would be better for sign writing

The wood on yours looks EXCELLENT  - my wood looks rubbish and it needs a respray, but I have loads of time.  Will hopefully be on the road next week if John can get all the stuff underneath done.

That is a very good price  the art work alone starts at that around here..... even if you've done it yourself, they'll be something not quiet right that requires interference from someone employed at the printers.
bodger

Its the same chap who did the main signage on my van, he also did the work on our shops. He's retired from the business and really knows his business.
Gareth

Does your insurance company know that you have signage on your van?

I am being serious about this as several insurance companies are withholding pay outs to some small businesses because the vans involved in the accidents had signage on them, and the insurance companies were not informed.

Direct copy & paste from an insurance comparision website:

"Insurance companies need to know about any changes you make to your van that are not to the original factory specification. This includes anything that increases the value of your van, from a new stereo to alloy wheels. Insurers will usually increase your premium if you increase the value of your vehicle. Even adding business signage can affect your van insurance cover price. Strictly speaking, making any modification to your van without informing your insurance company makes your policy invalid and could result in your claim not being paid if you have an accident."

Rest assured Gareth, I sorted this out from the very outset, before I had my van sign written . Try and be positive mate, because I am.

I also got commercial insurance for the Moggie too!
