Above my bed every night.......

The noise of fit fat mice or rats clumping up and down all  night long they sound like dogs running up and down, how the hell they are getting up there I don't know I think they must be coming in over the roof and entering under the eves some place, I want them dead soonest before they cost me a serious electrical fault . :omg:
HPC

They are possibly climbing up the drain pipes and entering under the soffit into the loft area wire mesh pushed up the pipes should stop ths entry point, from there they have full access into the cavities and under floor boards, if you have any foaliage growing up the external walls cut it back, rats can climb very well, get a pro in and get it sorted

Cat in the house the quicest way to be rid of rodents I know even if it doesn't catch any it seems to encourage them to move on.
HPC

cats can sometimes  be guilty of bringing them in, in the first place   lol

I put some cling film wrapped rat poison into the roof space by taking a couple of ceiling down lights out and pushing them well back to lessen the risk of fire, Haven't had a noisy night since.

Thats a good idea, if it happens again use a rodenticide in wax block formula, that way you can thread a piece of wire through it so you can retrieve and check the bait, and know that the cling film hasn't been dragged off anywhere near any other lights .

Glad you sorted it

Glad you got it sorted, we've got this problem too, I think they've come down the garden from the hen run and we've heard scratching on a night, its sending the whippet/terrier x mad ! I don't like poisening, particilarly if they die somewhere in the loft, walls etc and start to rot, I think we are going to have to have a major blocking up session.

It was on breakfast tv the other day that rats in houses is a major problem this winter, they think 'cos of the cold weather.
