I do like robins
Toddy

I like the robins in my garden. They follow me around to see what I'm up to and as soon as I'm a foot away, they're nipping in to see if there's something good to eat turned up. They do a cracking job on the vine weevils !
I sprinkle wireworms for them too when everything's frozen.

So did the old Sicilian guy i used to work with. When he was young back in the old country they were so poor they would lime robins to eat such was the scarcity of meat. Sad really for the robins and the people forced to eat them.

Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.

In the old days they used nets to net the sparrows in the ivy that was growing on the houses.
