A trip down memory lane for me today. This morning I'll be taking 'Young Rob' to play cricket in Stoke.on Trent again but this time, the game will be slightly different for me. Robs playing against Sandyford Cricket Club. This is the club that I started playing my junior cricket at over forty years ago. Both my father and my brother played there as well.
I had some great times there and as I've said before, its where I met my wife Kaz. My mum and dad held their 25th wedding anniversary celebration there.
Todays visit will be the first that I've been there in nearly thirty years and I'm really forward to my return. It will of course be tempered with the thought that a lot of the people that I remember so clearly are no longer with us. I may see a few ghosts today.

Enjoy your day and your memories bodge
Young Rob could be saying something very similar in 40 years time, but be more likely to be on a forum called over the electric parimeter fence :-? the way things are going at the mo.
Have a good day anyway

I was just saying how lucky we have been with the weather on Saturdays so far. The summer may have been lousy but we havent had a match rained off so far.

My old happy hunting ground.
The old changing rooms, now demoted to a tool store.
The pavillion, the scene of many late night card sesions and some memorable social functions.
Rob top scored again yesterday but it didn't save his team from yet another thrashing. Its leaves the team firmly in the basement. :sad10:
