A nice idea, a lawn without grass?

This novel idea for a lawn without grass looks good but the smell coming from it must be really fantastic. I'd like to know how the heck he stops the grass from taking over though.

Great idea, the smell would be fantastic, wild life ect....I too would like to know how he keeps it weed free.
The lawn I laid end of last season, has already produced dandilions and other weeds.

Love it don't have to mow it and the smell would be great even better than ours with Penny Royal

Yes, great idea, superb colours and variety of scents, encouraging the insects, etc,................. but is it robust enough to survive kids and dogs?

If so, I will be the very first in the queue for packets of this type of lawn seed when they go on sale.

Our lawn is currently a dust bowl caused by Oz constantly running up and down, and I would really love something that looked good, smelt nice encouraged the bugs and especially the bees, and could survive and possibly even thrive on the rigours and punishment we could put it through.

I have heard of chamomile lawns but this one sounds even better
