A nice cider to look out for.

I've just enjoyed a nice cider that Karen got me from the Co-op. Its their own grown Tillington Hills brand still premium cider and at 2.75p for 75cl, its really worth trying. Its 6% abv and gets a big thumbs up from me. You must look out for it.

Funnily enough...I've just finished a bottle of that!
It's not at all bad, but I'll go back to Thatcher's Gold at 1/bottle when I can get to Morrisons or 90p with staff discount - it would be plain rude to drink owt else!

er....possibly made at Thatchers factory....
on my mega cider factfinding trip we did a 2 hour tour...they make for and label for a number of supermarkets.

Wouldn't be at all surprised, a few years ago I was talking to a marketing guy from an independent brewery, they made no money on their craft beers, they only made a profit by brewing some surprisingly well known brands, and was quite embarrassed that the beer they made the most of was Tesco's <2% bitter

When we did the Westons Tour, they said thaat they made many of the supermarket own brands but the label on the Co-op cider definately states that they grew the apples themselves and even states which varieties of apples are used. They don't say that they actually make the cider but that fresh apples are delivered to the mill.

The orchards are in the Wye Valley, so its most unlikely that its made by Thatchers. It was a really nice drop of cider anyway.

As long as its nice anyway......

Funnily enough, my favourite Cider is on special offer at the Co-op.

Westerns Vintage at 8.5%.  A cracking dry, crisp cider.

Because Westons are supplying their own brands to the Co-op, then the chances are that they are also making the Tillingto Hill brand too. Give it ago Matt. If you like the Vintage Westons, then I'm pretty sure that you'll like this one.
