|
|
First take the string and pick the smaller loop..
attach the smaller loop to the bottom nock of the bow..
step over the bow as shown
bend the limb of the bow towards the string...
until you are able to place the larger loop over the top nock of the bow.
I usually have the larger loop over the bow prior to locating the smaller loop to the nock and merely slide the larger loop up the limb to the top nock, however I was drunk when I asked Sinawi to take the photographs and am now far too drunk to take anymore showing the correct procedure!!! The procedure I've shown will however work perfectly. |

Yeeharr,
Do you know what materials are needed and how to braid/plait/weave a new bowstring?
I have a mate in desperate need of a new drawstring for 175lb draw weight crossbow. _________________ In Lust, In Like, In Love.

The house is spooky, but I'd rather live in fear than have that Derek nutcase fella in my house!!!
They could have been the bubbles that you get around drunk cartoon characters!!!
Gareth, bowstring making is an art in itself, most archery shops/suppliers should be able to supply something suitable if you provide them with the bow details. |

I can get a replacement Wildcat string mail order, but I would rather have a go at making one. _________________ In Lust, In Like, In Love.
