Pallet stripping bars for sale.

These are the most effective tool for manually stripping the planks from the stringers on used wooden pallets so that the timbers can be reclaimed, recycled or re-used for other purposes.

The bars are approximately 1 metre long, have a weight of approximately 5 kgs, and a rolling fulcrum section on each head which provides the optimum leverage and momentum for the effective, efficient and safe stripping of wooden pallets: with practice a standard wooden 2 way Euro pallet can be stripped in about 90 seconds.

The bars can be used for stripping either 2 way or 4 way wooden pallets, and incorporate 2 ergonomically designed heads; one suitable for pallets with stringers up to 2 inches (50mm) wide, and the second head suitable for pallets with stringers from 2 inches (50mm) to 4 inches (100mm) wide.

The bars also include hand protection guards to help prevent injury should a previously damaged or split plank should break during the stripping operation.

The bars are 45 each Plus 11.50 Postage & Packing  (Parcel force 48 service with tracking)

Payment is by: Cheque, postal order or paypal. email Cargo-cycles@live.co.uk  or call 07758 786036 for further details or to place an order.

WooHoo! This is my 504th post!

I'm convinced Steve needs one.

It's very cloak and dagger though - are there limited numbers? Do I need to stay up until 1am on 15th May?

Nothing cloak and dagger about it; the 15th just seemed like a good idea at the time, because when I made the above post this morning I had already scheduled the last Parcelforce collection for shipment this week.

Plus, I want to get out in the garden this afternoon and use my Pallet Bar to reclaim the timber for the other planters that I am making: Lois is getting a little anxious about the growing season slipping away from her.

About the cloak & dagger, I still want one.

Gareth, not been in touch because we're not sure it would work with the pallets we get - they look different to yours, we think. All the loose ones have been 'butchered' so we need to get the tarp off our pile and check them out.

The Cargo Cycles Pallet Bars are suitable for stripping both 2 way and 4 way Pallets.

A 2 way Pallet usually comprises of full length stringers and planks and is only approachable to lift by a Forklift Truck from the front and the back.

A 4 way Pallet usually comprises of a block in each corner, 1 in the centre of each end, and usually 3 blocks along the centreline, making 9 blocks in all. This allows a forklift to approach the the pallet from 4 different directions.

The top Pallet in the photo is a 4 way Pallet. The blocks are marked A. and the wide head of the pallet bar is Marked C.

The bottom Pallet is a 2 way Pallet, and the full length stringer is marked B. Normally the stringers on 2 way pallets are 2 inches or less wide, and the narrow head of the Pallet bar is Marked D.

We have just bought one of these off Gareth and my OH yesterday spent a couple of hours making a pile of pallets into 3, very neat, piles of usable wood.  Must add that he didn't stop grinning whilst working!

Would definately recommend - and many thanks Gareth

If you are unsure as to whether a Cargo Cycles pallet Reclamation Bar is suitable for stripping the kinds of Pallets you have or can obtain.

Please refer to the illustrations of different types of wooden Pallets on the left hand side of the page at this link: http://rrmgtonline.com/pallet-parts.php

The Cargo Cycles Pallet Reclamation Bars can be used to effectively and efficiently strip all of these types of wooden Pallets, with the exception of the full covered plywood , SOLID DECK Pallet at the bottom of that page.

Here is a photo of a full covered Plywood, SOLID DECK Pallet. Please excuse the paint and glue drips, etc. .... this is my Garden work bench top.

We took delivery of our Pallet Reclamation Bar yesterday and I can whole-heartedly recommend it.

It's fab! Although I may come to regret standing there like a 12 year old insisting "Let me have a go!"
It's just too easy and I have nowhere to hide behind "I can't do it".
I thought it would be too heavy for me to use but the balance of it is excellent and you hardly notice you are holding it (if that makes sense).

Gareth   You are a star. Not only for the product, but also for the excellent service.

However.... I'm thinking that your family can always guess what you've bought them for Christmas?

Seriously though, I was impressed with the minimal packaging.

Mo,

Thank you for your comments and recommendation regarding the Pallet Reclamation Bar.

May I also thank you for the email communications that we had. Your questions highlighted that I had not fully explained the types of pallet that the bar can be used to strip effectively so that the timbers can be reclaimed for use in other projects.

I have now put together a single page pallet identification chart so that potential customers can see at a glance the the types of wooden pallet that can be stripped with the Cargo Cycles Pallet Reclamation Bar.

Here is a downloadable PDF version of that chart; but if you require it as a Word Document version, please do not hesitate to email me to request one: Cargo-cycles@live.co.uk

Hi Gareth
I found this site/forum while researching wooden pallet uses and happened upon your clever invention.

I sent you an Email Friday regarding purchasing one to use for some building projects I have in this rural north central part of Florida.

White Springs is a little country town with 850 people and no traffic lights.
My next door neighbor just put up a Pole Barn and has some pygmy goats. This is an area of rolling hills, pine trees, and lots of farm land and very different from what people think of about Florida -Miami, Jacksonville, Tampa, etc. Two blocks away is the famous Suwannee River that Stephen Foster wrote a song about.

Please let me know Gareth if you received my Email and how I may purchase your Pallet Reclamation Bar.
Thank you
RD
