As many of you already know in a few days time it is my Daughters big day.
I being father of the bride have the duty of writing my speech.
Any tips you can offer would be gratefully received....

Rule 1 The speech should be like a woman's skirt - short and interesting
Rule 2 From my experence Say what you want to say then stop, Don't ramble on
Rule 3 Be natural Don't use language that you don't normally use.
Rule 4 Most important Relax and smile enjoy it

Yes  I've read loads on the web sites, some are very witty, some hilarious, but they don't really cover my two, Daughter and future S' in Law.
One thing I have gained from reading them up is the order in which to write the speech....
Type of opening lines, welcoming guests, elders who will be there, grandparents ect.
Yes loads of good reasons for doing so.
Its the Bally writing of now......
