Mrs YG, Biscuit and I have been to two local air displays in two days.

Yesterday (Friday) we went to Sidmouth where the Red Arrows were having an airing.
The weather was a little overcast so the display was somewhat curtailed.

Today (Saturday) was a regular air display at Dawlish.
A special show since it would be one of the last times the Avro Vulcan would be shown - the cost of maintenace has promised its demise.

The helicopter and lifeboat were there for suport, there were no accidents.

We had to cut short the display because the heavens opened and Mrs YG wanted to rush home to save (if she could) her washing.
Unfortunately she couldn't!

Nope it isn't the cost of maintenance that will ground the Vulcan, it is certain aerospace companies that won't release the technical data that is needed by other technically competent companies to safely maintain it when their direct involvements ends at the end of his season.
