Yes I know that there can't be any such thing as a new second hand book but I suppose I could always argue that they're new to me.
I saw these in the Severn Hospice Charity Shop yesterday in Ironbridge and paid the strange sum of £1.69p for them. I simply couldn't resist.
Dave C would the Game Conservancy book be of any use to you?
I've only skimmed through The Home Farm Handbook but from the small pieces that I've read, it would appear to be pretty useless !
For example, the author reckons that Light Sussex chickens lay brown eggs! And to quote him, when it comes to Rhode Island Reds he says "They are one of the few breeds where exhibition qualities and production ability sit together in one strain" Oh how I wish they did !
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into the George Ewart Evans book, I already have some of his books.
