Thought i would pop a couple of photos up....Apt that we live in Sussex so we should keep these couple of Sussex Chickens....they produce 2 eggs a day 90% of the time and the eggs big and taste fantastic..bit of a wierd mixture but but i get 2 pieces of Cheese on  toast with Scottish Mature Cheddar with Worcester Sauce on top,two of the Chickens eggs and a few Baked Beans on top of that and that is absolutly Handsome!!!

Nice birds, but they dont look like Sussex to me (sorry   ) are they meant to be pure breed?

You may be right Sapphire...my Uncle is a farmer and got them at the Farm Auctions and just said the chicks were 'Sussex' and to be perfectly honest i am no Chicken expert!!...but if someone knows for sure i would be grateful to hear

They look like commercial hybrid layers Russ, possibly Warrens.

They look very much like my Isa Browns, also a commercial hybrid.
