We all struggle to take pictures of butterflies. Why ? Because they wont stay still. Last night, I caught the tail end of a programme on the television introduced by Chris Packham. I just switched on in time to hear him give a simple but very useful tip when trying to take pictures of butterflies. It was to try and take your pictures in the morning before the creatures have had time to warm up, so that they are less active. Having spent many frustrating hours trying to take pictures of un-co-operative specimens, its an idea that I'll be trying. They always say that the best ideas tend to be the simple ones.
