Some of the varied ideas that I've come up with over the years seem to be coming to fruition for other people.  I've just found this website.

http://www.purelypickledeggs.co.uk/pickled-eggs/

I recall us discussing this very idea on here years ago and finding a website ( now defunct ) with lots of recipes for different adaptations of the humble pickled egg.
Having a butterfly mind and not sticking at anything for too long has always been a problem for me, its meant that I've never got around to doing anything properly but still, its been making life interesting. And in any case, I reckon I'd have soon got bored boiling all those eggs.

Good luck to the Purely Pickled Egg Company. I love seeing people take on a novel ideas like this and then run with it.

I have to admit, I've never had a pickled egg!

hmmmm - we pickle surplus turkey eggs - this has me thinking now, a spicy pickled egg - I wonder how they do the horseradish one?

Eddie, you've never lived.  I borrowed a couple of big jars a few years ago and filled them with pickled eggs from a glut that we had. I placed them in strategic positions and grabbed one as I passed. I quickly polished them off but Karen put her foot down and stopped me from making them.
Pickled eggs are delicious but they are also renowned for  being 'pharping' fuel.

Bodger can you not make your own "brand" pickled eggs with cider vinegar?
