Swag ?
Over the weekend, we spent an enjoyable couple of days in and around one of my old stomping grounds, the Staffordshire Moorland town of Leek.
On the way there from North Wales, we took a break and had a look around Llangollen. It has a very good and large second hand book shop and I spent a pleasant 20 minutes sifting through some of the treasures it held. I ended up selecting these four books for the princely price of just fourteen quid.
At one time, I used to have all the Brian Plummer books but gave them away about twenty or something years ago. I found most of his books very readable, if not particularly plausible but some, seemed to be more about his own personal black moods rather than his dogs or hunting.
I met Plummer on a couple of occasions, the last time being at The Waterloo Cup, where within a couple of minutes he was quoting Aristotle at me. It said it all really.
Anyway, I do love a bargain and as all the books in the shop were down to half the marked price, I couldn't resist buying them. I'm looking forward to making some time and re reading the Plummer books and the other two, which I haven't read before.

I've Googled the Plummer books and it looks as though I got them for a very good price.
