Being rather partial to occasionally dipping my finger in the peanut jar I can kind of understand how this chap got himself into this predicament.

It's amazing how many pets and wild animals get into trouble because of our discarded rubbish.

That's why, when I'm putting items in the recycling box I ALWAYS  

put the lids back on the washed jars and bottles
stamp on tins to squash them (very satisfying!)
squash plastic bottles

Doesn't take a minute.

A farm i used to go to once had a cat with a tin stuck  since then i have always crushed cans
