John Briers butchers from Whitwick Leicestershire is my food heroe, a tradtional butcher still makes his own sausage, hams, pork pies and cooked meats, and his home cured streaky bacon is bdooly fantastic, 85% fat rest meat, lol. His faggots are well known around our part of leicestershire has well. Only a small shop and only 2 staff, himself + his wife who helps behind the till.

Traditional Butchers can only be saved by the buying public.

We use a traditional butcher in Caernarfon called Glyn Owen. We use him for any meat that we haven't actually had killed ourselves.

We're lucky enough to have a good butchers just up the road - F W Norman in Oakwood.  Got the Christmas duck from there and it was excellent.  Usually get a ham hock every few weeks, also one of the only places round here you can get rabbit and other game.  The place is so popular, you often need to phone them midweek to reserve your order for the weekend.
