This took me about 20 minutes to prepare and is now in the slow cooker for later - it certainly looks and smells nice - I'll let you know how it tastes later

1 tablespoon Sunflower oil
750g Braising beef
1 Large onion
2 garlic cloves
2 tablespoon Plain flour
450ml Beef stock
4 tablespoon Soy sauce
4 tablespoon Wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Caster sugar
2 Bay leaves
Juice of 1 lime
Salt + Pepper
Long grain rice

Brown the beef and put to one side.

Fry the onions for 5 mins until beginning to brown, mix in garlic and cook for 2 mins, mix in flour and gradually add the stock, add soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, bayleaf, salt and pepper and bring to the boil.

Put it all in the slow cooker and leave for 8-10 hours.

Stir in lime juice to taste.

Eat.

I served it with rice and fresh veg and it was certainly worth putting on the list to do again
I like these simple, one-dish meals
